Two wonderful things are coming up in the next several days. The first is a multi-author book launch at the California Imagism Gallery in Ontario, California.
Saturday, June 26, 5-9 PM
“In the quarantine, so many books were released, and those books had no release party, so at CIG, we’re going to have a party where we’re all celebrating our new books. Authors include Allen Calacci, Victoria Waddle, Romaine Washington, Juanita E. Mantz, Gina Duran, Tim Hatch, George Hammons, Kendall Johnson, Lloyd Aquino, Francesca Terzano, Cindy Rinne, Aruni Wijesinghe, Shannon Phillips, and Ranney Campbell. Authors from Los Nietos Press (your truly), Bamboo Dart Press, Arroyo Seco Press, Literary Alchemy Press, and Picture Show Press will be there.”
I’m hoping to see old friends there. I made some little thank you gifts for anyone who buys my book at the launch and for anyone who already bought the book and brings it to be signed. If I see you there, I’ll explain how they work. A fun fabric project, using up the remnants left from mask making. (No more mask masking!Yahoo!)
Inlandia Journal Opens to Submissions
The second thing coming up soon that I’m excited about: We’re opening for submissions to the Inlandia Journal on July 1. You can find submission guidelines on the website. Generally, we just enjoy excellent writing and interesting images, with a particular fondness for work that explores California’s Inland Empire in some way.
Start polishing your creative nonfiction, fiction, or poetry for submission. The submission window closes on September 1.
